Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good restaurant somewhere near the Chadds Ford Winery that serves lunch? Maybe mid-price to expensive?

Thanks for your help!

I don't think that the Gables would be expensive for lunch, Hanks is a diner if that is what you are looking for. I think the best bet for a special afternoon would be lunch at Longwood Gardens... they have two options there, casual and a little more formal.

There is Giordano's for pizza in Kenett Square on Cypress St. off Route 1. Frankly, it's nothing great, but few pizza joints are in the area.

I know this is a little late, but try Hanks. On Rt. 1, right side going south between 202 and Chadds Ford. Good food, good people. South on Rt. 52 is Mendenhall Inn. Also very good, expensive and wear a jacket and tie. Also north on 52 is Simon Pierce. Also very good and you can watch the glassblowers at work.

I hear The Gables is good for lunch - probably leaning toward the expensive side. Very close to Chadds Ford Winery.

The Half Moon Saloon http://www.halfmoonrestaurant.com or Sovana Bistro, both in Kennett Square are both very good choices.
