Coco Lezzone - cheesy disaster

Food Tourist Sep 4, 2006 07:08 AM

Just wanted to warn you to avoid the crispy eggplant parmigiana ($12) appetizer at Coco Lezzone on College St. because it's the worst version of this dish that I have EVER encountered. Even the one at my workplace cafeteria (Strano catering) is much, much better. Coco's eggplant is not crispy, and is covered in so much cheese that the cheese is as thick as the eggplant beneath. I love cheese but this was insanely bad.

I didn't pick this place and wouldn't go back - it's overpriced, portions are small, and music is too loud. I hate not being able to hear the conversation at my own table!

Never had a bad experience there yet, but I've also never had the parmigiana appetizer.
