Afghan food

When I was living in NYC, I used to love a nearby Afghan restaurant. Does anyone know of any in the Bay Area? Especially one that serves pumpkin samusas...

  1. Helmond - in S.F. on Broadway
    Kabul - in Sunnyvale

Not sure about the samusas but they definately serve pumpkin dishes. Both are very good.

Kabul also is in Belmont on El Camino.

    2. Helmand is a great Afghan restaurant. Here's a link to their menu:

      1. Bamyan in San Rafael.

          1. Surprisingly, Walnut Creek has De Afghanan at 1250J Newell St.
It's away from the downtown parking madness. Modern decor but nice and quiet, not a yuppie meet market.
