Mini Cupcakes

I'm looking for somewhere in the city to get both regular and mini cupcakes. Also, I don't want to spend $3 each... IDEAS?

Okay, you guys are totally right. $1.50 is a reasonable price. Is one enough per person for a dessert at a birthday party? One per adult and one per child? Also, it looks from the website that they make only one flavor a day, is this right? I'd like both white & chocolate options. You all agree these are delicious.

No, they probably have 12 or more flavors available at any given time, unless someone comes in and really cleans them out. You'll have to look at them and see if you think 1 per person is enough. I have my doubts--depending on what else you're serving.

They are diameter-wise, the size of a quarter, though they can be 2-3 inches high with frosting. Also, due to small size, these are not something that could be picked up the day before because they don't keep well.

No, I don't think one little cupcake would be enough for a desset. You would need to serve them with something ... maybe a few XOX truffles ... Delassio does some sort of candy thing, I forget ... maybe with that.

I think your friends would talk about you if you served just one tiny cupcake. However with some composition of treats like the truffles on the plate, the little cupcakes, perhaps with a candle in each, might be charming.

However, if the mini-cupcake idea had to do with saving $$ on dessert, there might be better ways to go.

I think $1.50 for these cupcakes is a deal. They are beautiful and tasty.

        Try this: http://www.saralynnscupcakes.com/

The chocolate cupcake with peanut butter cream cheese frosting is amazing. $18 per dozen for mini and $33 per dozen for regular size.

I had a big party recently with mini cupcakes from Delessio. They are $1.50 each. I ordered one per person I expected to attend, and they were gorgeous and delicious. There's a wide range of flavors.

For mini cupcakes, head to Delessio. Market & Valencia. $1.25 each, I believe.
