Ming's Restaurant in Tiburon

My wife and I have "adopted" Ming's Restaurant in Tiburon as our favorite Chinese restaurant in Marin.

Ming's Restaurant
1550 Tiburon Blvd
Belvedere Tiburon, CA 94920
(415) 435-4312

A small, clean restaurant tucked away in a small shopping promenade next to Boardwalk Market, Ming's does what we believe to be fresh, high quality Chinese food. Service is friendly and efficient. Portions are large, tasty and great value for money. If you like your food spicy, the kitchen will gladly cooperate. We've probably been there 10 times in the past 8 months and the quality is absolutely consistent. Having lived 10 years in SE Asia, we're very choosy about our Asian food, and Ming's delivers the goods.

We're surprised that Ming's hasn't yet received a mention here on Chowhounds. We'd love to hear what other Chowhounders have to say about it.

We usually start out with vegetarian spring rolls which are perfectly fried to a crispy crust with the veggies maintaining a nice crunchy texture. The spicy salt prawns or scallops are notable, as are their szechuan beef/prawn dishes, eggplant in garlic sauce, szechuan green beans, sizzling rice soup. On our last visit we tried the crab rangoon the wrappers of which, again, were perfectly fried. I must admit that I'm not partial to crab rangoon as it contains cheese, which doesn't really fit with a Chinese meal.

    2. I have eaten there 6 times. Everything I have tried is great. The vegatables are always fresh and crisp (not over cooked like many Chinese resturants). The staff are very friendly and hospitable and the prices can't be beat.
