Board Location, Phoenix , Arizona

Should we expect more cities to be added to the board locations soon? Texas has one but not Phoenix AZ.. loads of fab places to CHOW here! One of our local chefs won Iron Chef..

  1. I think that if any part of the Southwest should get a spin-off board, it's Vegas. But then, I'd hate to see them go because I love seeing all the information about Vegas chow in with my local Phoenix recs.

    1. I thought the prior version of CH's hot posts demonstrated that the Southwest board was one of the lower volume boards. Most posts include mention of the city in the topic. So, what problem would creating a PHX board solve?

I don't see the relevance of "fifth largest city" or "won Iron Chef". What *is* relevant is there are only a dozen or so regular posters on CH for PHX.

      1. The Southwest Board traffic doesn't justify any of the cities or states on that board being spun off. Even thought Phoenix is a huge city and Vegas is the top tourist destination in the U.S. right now, we still don't get more than 6-10 new posts for the entire board per day.

Looking at the board right now, we have the past six days showing. Compare that to the L.A. board or the S.F. board.

Splitting boards into sub-regions when posting traffic doesn't warrant it just makes browsing the boards more of a chore. People should always designate the city(preferably in uppercase letters) in the header on the boards that encompass large areas though.

        2. Yes, that makes sense..

BTW, winning Iron Chef goes to show that there are top chef's here in the valley and other citie's that could be over looked based on generic regions.

Seth, GREAT website! You've saved me from a few bad experinces before they happend! Thank you!
