For the type of chinese breakfast, there aren't that many places. Mandarin Garden in Mira Mesa is OK, but I they don't make the Siao Bing right (bread-like rather than thin layers) Chin's in Miramar, next to the holiday in is pretty good. Only Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 2:30pm. We've tried the Siao Bing, Yu-Tiao, Soybean milk, steamed buns, fried buns, and everything was good by San Diego standards. I guess, what I'm saying is we like it better than other places in San Diego, but it doesn't compare to LA or other large cities.

Compared to most other offerings of this type, Chin's is pretty good. But if you visit during the breakfast hours (Sat-Sun 1130-230pm), you should have someone who reads Chinese, because the breakfast menu is in Chinese, you could get by if you speak Mandarin. In fact, I've got some photos somewhere....I guess I need to do a post.
