a query for Asheville foodies...

  • 5

I've just read a glowing Mountain Xpress review of Rezaz Enoteca. Has anyone tried? (I've only been to the "mother" restaurant once--it was good but slightly overpriced.)

  1. I've only been in there once and my impression was just wines, cheeses and small plates - more casual fare. Some of my friends have been and really like it. I'm not a big fan of Rezaz's though to begin with - too pricey and the food is not that stellar.

Thanks as always, Leah. You are without question the most helpful and friendly of the Asheville Hounds--even if you apparently live in upstate S.C.! (Mark seems to have fallen off the radar lately.)

Anyway, it sounds like I like Rezaz a little more than you--though we both agree it is overpriced. That's why I thought Enoteca might be worth a shot. It seems a bit more reasonable, esp. if, like me, you actually prefer smaller portions. I'll post my thoughts when/if.

i'm still floating around in the ether. the new format is harder for me to use from work, which is where i do most of my surfing, so, for the most part, i haven't been responding unless i have something pointedly on topic to contribute. never fear though, i still participate when it's warranted. if you have questions for me, by all means ask. my email is posted in my "my chow" profile, so feel free to contact me off site as well.

i, too, am interested in enoteca, so definitely post if you get there before me.

that's pretty much my impression. It was fair. If I were in the mood to drink a little wine with friends and just nibble, I might go there, otherwise, not.

      3. Good to know you're still out there chowing down, Mark.

This new Chowhound format does take some getting used to, but I now think it's easier to post and do searches than before, as long as you can stay permanently logged in on whatever computer you're using.
