Looking for great chili, from anywhere: take-out shop; restaurant; corner joint; even mail-order would be fine. Thanks!

    1. Daisy Mae's, hands down. Not even another contender if you are talking about Texas red.

The last time I had it from a cart it seemed sweeter than I had remembered. Too much so.

This is not good news...Any other recent reports? I no longer work in mid-town so I no longer eat Daisy Mae's on a weekly basis.

Had the chili this week. Seems like the same good'ol stuff. Actually, I think it was spicier than usual. I didn't need to add any of the hot sauce.

Do they only have the chili on the carts, or also at the shop?

                          • I actually really like the chili at Island Burgers and Shakes on 9th Avenue.

                              1. I find Daisy Mae's chili to taste like a pretty good Indian Dish.. I dont know if I would call it chili.. I would call it almost like a curry..
