HELP! closed down sushi counter at "gourmet fish market" on 1st ave btween st marks & 9th
So several months ago, the gourmt fish markt on first ave shut down. In this tiny clean undrstockd markt, there workd a sushi chef at a small countr who was invntive and genrous in his offerings. Peopl would com and wait patintly for ovr an hour until he glancd up at thm and thy could mak thir ordr. he was absolutly fabulous, and thy calld him "Pop." my prsonal favorit mnu slctions wre the crab salad and th hous roll (eel roll toppd with heaping quantaties of spicy salmon and dicd fuji appls... he usd APPLES in nearly all his creations.) he would giv his regulars extra food all th time, invnted rolls on th spot... and thyd be exquissit. thn one day th whol plac was shut down. whre this magnificint and inexpnsiv chf wnt has plagued me for too long. i've settld on tab tos as my "regular" sushi joint, but it rally dosn't compar at all... can anyon hlp? he spok barly any english, and took my frind's email, but sh foolishly didn't tak his... any leads, anyon?
