Just got back Monday from Montreal. The very best of all the restos was au pied de cochon. It was fabulous...earthy, delicious and superfresh. The legendary pork chop is divine!! They slaughter their own pigs, jar their own plum tomatoes, make their own ice cream, etc. Their veggies are delivered daily by a farmer who supplies a few other restos in the area. I recommend it more than the others.
I ate at Lemeac which was good but not on a par foodwise as au pied where you get more bang for your buck. Lemeac was also incredibly noisy so we couldn't carry on much of a conversation.
