Taqueria Las Vegas, Fremont Report (w/ pics)

hhc Aug 31, 2006 01:59 AM

I've been to the one in Milpitas which is like a fast food place, but the Fremont one is so much nicer. It's bigger, more tables, clean, and new. There is a separate bar area where people can watch TV, listen to the jukebox music, or play pool. Similar menu as the Milpitas location.

I went after work and there were guys enjoying the Happy Hour at the bar which is from 2-5pm M-F.

I read from Jatbar that the wet vegetarian burrito w/ green salsa was good so I got it. It has rice, pinto beans, salsa, and I got it with guacamole $5.49. It was good.

I also got a tostada de ceviche $2.49-which I thought the ceviche was very salty, but I still finished it. Tostada I didn't eat since I don't eat fried items (or try not to.)

They have free chips (they fry them there too) and free salsa bar. I didn't get any chips but the fresh salsa is good.

Small horchata $1.25 is very sweet and pour yourself. I added lots of ice but it was still too sweet.

I'll get the fresh squeezed orange & carrot juice $1.99 for small next time.

They have both men and women bathrooms.

It's right off Fremont Blvd South exit, across from the Nummi plant so it's nice to get off and back on I-880 for a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Recommended, I'll have to go back to try the meat dishes.
