Carmines for Lunch
Being forced to go to Carmine'e for lunch before the theater. What to order? Anything worth while, or is this just an expensive lunch that I will regret.
It's generally awful. Some people like the fried stuff--zucchini & calamari, but I found them both heavy & greasy. The one dish I have a warm spot for is the rigatoni country style, with white beans and sausages--pretty tasty.
I went a bunch of times for office parties, kicking & screaming. I find the mangia, mangia party atmosphere pretty creepy.
IMO the csr. salad is good as is the linguini and clam sauce. And the plain old rigatoni with red sauce is good.
