My husband and I are making our first trip to Seattle for a wedding. We will have lots of free time to explore on Thursday and Friday. Looking for hot, fun new place with a hoppin atmosphere. Also, something that provides a great view and great food! We are open on price and taste and realize we have a short amount of time to experience a small piece of Seattle over Labor Day weekend.
Dahlias lounge is my fav. restaurant- very northwest cuisine and awesome duck. For lunch you could eat in pikes place market at lowells, food is pretty good but the view you can't beat. The clam chowder at the stand outside of restaurant is amazing (can't remember the name).
Lots of decent places in the Belltown area: Restaurant Zoe, Black Bottle, Shiro's (sushi), Flying Fish (touristy but fun).
For a view, Waterfront is great, if a bit old school (formal-dressed waiters and food wheeled out on carts, they even have Baked Alaska). Ray's Boathouse has a good view and so-so food. Canlis is an old-school classic Seattle restaurant with a view of Lake Union.
Enjoy! Seattle is a foodie paradise (IMO).
