Carlos Cucina

Went last night after having not been for awhile. For what it is, reasonably priced, red sauce Italian, it is excellent. The Chicken Parmigiana at $13.95 was delicious, excellent sauce with thin cutlets fried perfectly. My wife got this combination of meatballs, sausage, rolled eggplant stuffed with ricotta and a small piece of parmigiana (I think it's called Rachale) all on a bed of ziti, she loves this dish. All and all, very good food, very good prices but parking can be a problem.

  1. I wholeheartedly agree - great food, all homemade, wonderful people that work there. I've been a customer since it was Carlos' Sub shop and we'd go there on Fridays for the egggplant parm subs - There's a public parking lot behind Blanchards' Liquors that is about 1/2 block away from Carlos on the corner of Harvard and Brighton.

    1. Thanks for the review - it's been a while since I've been there, but I remember a frutti di mare special that was out of this world with huge mussels, clams, etc.

      1. I agree. Best chicken parm anywhere. It is also just a nice place to eat. Staff are easy going despite the fact that is usually very busy. Wish they had parking, though.

          But it's right by the 57, 66 and B line, much easier than bringing your car to Allston.
