Feed the Bachelorette (Portsmouth, NH)

jandazza Aug 30, 2006 03:23 PM

So here is the dilemma: I'm trying to plan a bachelorette party in Portsmouth, NH and can't figure out a place to take a group of six to dinner.

It needs to be "inexpensive but fun." We can't do the Stockpot because the bride wants a few "stops" on the agenda and we're going there for drinks. We can't do Flatbread because she lives next door to the Flatbread in Amesbury. We can't do Portsmouth Brewery because they don't take reservations for groups under 10.

I'm trying to keep entrees under $20. Also, we need the place to be somewhat centrally located because we are being dropped off and picked up.

Also, if you have any suggestions for a place that would later serve us up some festive, celebratory drinks -- bring 'em on!

Thanks all; I appreciate any help you can float my way!

Not exactly a chic place, but the new sports bar where Banana's used to be might be an idea. I don't know how popular it is yet, they serve food similar to Portsmouth Brewery. They might be hungry enough for business to reserve a table for you. The majority of other customers will likely be guys, so that could add to your entertainment value?

      Portmouth Gas Light Co.

They're known for their brick oven pizza. Located near the Stockpot and right next door to the Portsmouth Brewery. They definitely can serve parties of ten or less downstairs and they also have a deck.

How about the Blue Mermaid? Might fit the bill. The Red Door might be good for after-dinner drinks.
