Sandbag's in Glendale

Danimal n Hustler Aug 29, 2006 11:51 PM

I came by this place for lunch and it was very good. I got the Club, everything was perfect. It tasted just like how my mom use to make when I was a kid and that, is a good thing.

They've been rated by Zagat's for years now and they only have good things to say and emphasize it has that homemade taste. Also each sandwich comes with a small chocolate chip cookie which is quite tasty (I like to eat it before the sandwich).

The downfall I think is the price... most sandwiches there have a flat fee of 5.95, I think it is a little hefty for the size you get. Add a soda and some chips you're paying around 8-9 dollars.

My 2005 Zagat (OK, so I'm cheap and don't especially like Zagat) doesn't have the Glendale location. Where is it?

      Ever heard of Google?
The map shows it on Brand between Broadway and Harvard. Across fron the In-N-Out maybe? I've lived in Glendale for 20 yars, I shop in that area at least once a week, and I don't recall ever seeing that place. I happen to be going there tomorrow, I'll check it out.

I always mean to eat at Sandbags but I'm always, always lured next door by the siren call of kimchi.

Yes, I often eat in that mall. Half-price Sushi from Ichiban is my special treat every two weeks or so; I get all the sushi I can eat for $21, to go. Panda Express for decent Chinese to go. Tried Quiznos a couple of times, didnt like it. The Korean place is decent if I get the jones for Kalbi or Bulgogi and I'nm not in the mood to go to K-town. But I don't remember the Sandbag's. That's dinner tonight.
