Recipe for Butter Chicken??

I was thinking of trying to make this Indian favourite at home, but there are just so many variations of the recipe that I do not know which one to try. Does anyone have a version they recommend?

actually, chicken tikki masala differs from butter chicken- butter chicken is known as chicken makhini. most restaurants will serve both, but usually choose 1 or other for buffets since they are similar. whether I like one better usually depends on the restaurant.

It really depends on the restaurant, but butter chicken is usually just another name for chicken tikka masala. If you do a search for chicken tikka masala, you'll pull up a few hundred recipes- I know, I've downloaded every one of them :)

I'm still trying to figure out which comes closest to the way my favorite restaurant does it. So far, I think the cashew paste variation is preferable to the cream version.
