Last night S.O. and I ate at Brophy Bros, Santa Barbara. The Oysters there are the bomb. 9$ for 1/2doz. raw and 8$ for them "rockefellered". Great clam chowder too. We took the water taxi for 2$ each from Stearns over to the Marina for dinner, then walked back. It was a gorgeous day! :) KQ
P.S. If you choose this, make sure you either go b-4 5p or expect to wait a long......time for a table. www.brophybros.com

  1. Uhhh, "bomb" usually means bad to me. I gather from your post it means just the opposite? Glad you had a good time in Santa Barbara. Thanks for the tip ---- or the warning ?!?

The "bomb" when used as a noun is positive. It "bombed" as a verb tense, is negative.

I too enjoy BROPHY BROTHERS and go there every time we're in Santa Barbara. They have great cold & hot fresh seafood. Often with a bit of a wait; and it's a bit of a longer wait for a "view" table.

"bomb" is a good thing in this case. Don't miss out!
