Went to Brick (Sutter and Larkin) Saturday. What a disappointment! They seem to be charting new territory with their "micro plates" of average food. The tuna crudo had about as much tuna as 1 decent size piece of sushi ($10). 3 average scallops (greasy) were $14. Service was also spotty (though the place wasn't that busy).

It's amazing what some places think they can get away with. Big thumbs down!

  1. Totally agree. I had some of the worst food ever at this place. The cuisine is all over the place and poorly executed. The dished seem like the chef got stoned and cleaned out the fridge.

    1. I also had a really bad meal at Brick...I can't believe all the hype this place is getting!

      1. Went last night. The atmosphere and design are great. The food is definitely small. We kept having to order more to feel satisfied. Most dishes were ok, some fairly bland. The wings were good. The Gnocchi bland. Fig salad was good.

Not overly impressed. It has alot of potential to add to the neighborhood. Just need to tweak the dishes and perhaps be a little more giving on the portions.
