Ginos/Genos?

Good Day all, I am posting from Toronto. Is anyone familiar with Ginos or Genos in NYC. My father was just there and was raving about the Geno's salad. I would like to recreate it for him but I have no idea and all he could tell me was that there were beets in it.

I'm certain your father meant the Gino's on Lexington Ave in the low 60s. The chopped salad, with beets, is first rate. It's a landmark spot, cash only, and I'm always happy to eat there. The
white and green pasta with 'secret sauce' is a favorite.

There are a few Ginos in the city, on the UES as well as the LES and a Genes in the Village. Any idea what part of the city it was in?
