le reve, arguably the best rest in TX. Very expensive. Get the tasting menu with wine pairings and a cab.

Thanks ya'll, Le Reve looks fabulous, but yes, a little pricey. It's definitely an option, but are there any other suggestions for a nice meal on the Riverwalk that are a little less expensive? Are there any opinions about Boudro's?

Biga on the banks is great. They also do tasting menus that are great and cheaper than Le
Reve. Their site is www.biga.com

On the riverwalk I like Casa Rio. It's not fancy and definitely Tex-Mex, but a lot of fun. Off the Riverwalk I recommend La Fogata as a more romantic spot.
Here's a link to some more options.

If staying for breakfast I would say the Guenther House is a must. And, the Mad Hatter is a lot of fun too for tea and such. If you will be there for Sunday morning, the Menger Hotel has a good, fancy Sunday brunch (though a little pricey - about $25-30).
