What to do with a Maxixe?
Saw this at my favorite fruite/vegetable store. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any info on what it is taste like and what to do with it.
From a Google search, seems that it is also called a Brazilian cucumber.
Never seen this in the Boston area. Is it popular in any parts of the United States?
Do you eat the skin?
I think they make some kind of stew with it in a tomato based type of sauce. Why don't you try stir frying it with some garlic and see what the natural flavor is? You can eat the skin since its carbon based, but I don't know how it will taste. Maybe stewing it with some mini meatballs and straw mushrooms?
