I've been to great bahn mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches) places in San Fran, but I'm looking for agreat place closer to home. Thanks!
My gold standard for bahn mi is Ba Le 2 in El Cerrito on San Pablo at Central: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/show/...
Best less-than-$3 I've ever spent!
It is very good. Incredible roll-crust crispness. How is the pho?
Cam Houng in downtown Oakland, perhaps?
Cam Huong on Webster is good. BC Deli on Franklin also.
A little further north in El Cerrito there's Ba Le.
There is also a Ba Le just a few doors away from BC Deli. The grilled pork there is better than BC Deli, but the chicken is not as good.
