Meeting brother arriving by train and returning by train same evening. Need good food and timely service. A seven year old with good manners will be with us.

There are some good places in Grand Central...maybe Michael Jordan's, Cipriani, or The Oyster Bar? Don't think Metrazur would really cater to a seven year old's palate.

I did hear Charlie Palmer makes a good adult mac n cheese though.

Cibo, on the corner of 2nd Av. & 41st St., serves very good Tuscan/New American cuisine in an attractive setting. It's a family-friendly place, so no problem bringing along a 7-year-old.

Michael Jordan's is a good choice, but it is a little pricey. More moderate, yet very good is Cafe Centro in the Met Life Building. Cipriani isn't the place for a 7 year old - way too Euro...
