We haven't been in Tehachapi in years and we're looking for dinner suggestions.

  1. I almost posted another inquiry about Tehachapi a few days ago as I had to be there during the day last week. :) I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions for you but I would be really interested to get somne other reports. I can, if it helps, give you recommendations for Bakersfield.

    1. Thanks, its a long story but a very good friend of mine used to eat at Wool Growers for quite some time many years age. I go there in his memory and still like the place too.

      1. I wanted to bunp this up as I will be in Tehachapi on Thursday this week. Anyone have recent experience there. There is a newish cafe (Henry's??) that I have been to a couple of times, but I thought I'd throw this out and see if anyone has any "discoveries."

Village Grill II in Tehachapi. 410 E Tehachapi Blvd. They have a great menu with reasonable prices. They serve home style food made fresh. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with breakfast available all day and night. Locally owned and operated. I haven't visited the one in Tehachapi but the one in Bakersfield on "F" Street is always one of my favorite places to dine. Food has always been fresh and original offerings. Hope this didn't get to you too late!

        2. Tnvfoodies,

I go fairly often to Tehachapi, so any info is good. In relation to the light (when you get off the freeway) - a right would take you past McDonalds, with the Vons (or Savemart can't remember which) on the other side - where is this. Is it a left at the light?

I don't go to Tehachapi so I can't give you directions. Best to ask at a convenience store or gas station. I can only tell you that the food @ Village in Bakersfield is excellent! I have heard it is the same in Tehachapi. Sorry!
