Info Needed!: Little Snack Shop in Fern Dell (Griffith Park)

i heard they recently revamped this little snack shop with new food and decor. i dont know much else. is it still just a self-serve shop or have they glorified it? what type of food? etc. any info would be appreciated. thanks!

    There was an article about the snack stand in the Dec 05 issue of Los Angeles Magazine. I can't find it at the LAmag website...but the article was entitled: Five-star snack shack: with the trails, Griffith Park has gone gourmet

    ...generally praised the place as I recall...

      thanks for the info. i went over there today and had a slice of the peach and blueberry pie. it was fresh out of the oven and delicious! the slice was huge and only 3.50. the stand is called "the trails."

      Interestingly enough, I just saw a Huell Howser thing on Griffith Park and he interviewed the owner of The Trails Cafe. The guy works in the "industry" and used to eat really bad food there in a beautiful location back in the day. When he found that it had been closed, he bought, rennovated and revived it. A big focus on pastries that they prepare on site, along with sandwich type items (Avocado sandwich, a vegan meat pie, etc.). The pies, cakes and tarts look worth checking out.
