Upton Tea (moved from San Francisco Bay Area board)

Don't know this particular place but I totally agree about www.uptontea.com. I've been a customer for 10 years+ and always been impressed with their quality, selection & amazing cs. www.specialteas.com is right up there with Upton in terms of excellence as is www.harney.com.

Thanks for the tip. I can see by your username, you're into tea.

BTW, have you ever order online or been to the Fauchon store in NYC? http://www.fauchon.com/index1.php

I am a long time Upton customer, but for Chinese greens and other asian teas I would also recommend Silk Road Teas (in the SF Bay area - there is another in the NW with a similar name), at http://www.silkroadteas.com/

Thank you, Tom Simonson, for this suggestion of Silk Road Teas. I just checked their website and plan to order my next batch of Chinese greens from them.

I had never heard of them, so I am looking forward to tasting their offerings.

Upton's website is also highly informative, passion without preciousness.

I'm changing my comment because the Upton discussion originally was comparing it to a local tea shop which doesn't make sense since this was moved.

Imperial Tea also has an informative site.
