Favorite Kosher Restaurant & Take-Out Dishes

Rather than ask what is your favorite restaurant, I was wondering if anyone would like to share their favorite foods/dishes - appetizer, main dish, side dish, or dessert - in any kosher restaurant or take-out place in Brooklyn, or Manhattan.

I will start by recommending the marinated chicken in Jerusalem Steak House, on Avenue J in Brooklyn. It's 2 nice size pieces of skinless, boneless grilled chicken . What makes it stand out, is that it is juicy, rather than dried out, and is very flavorful, since it's seasoned with a delicious herb marinade.

I also really enjoy their Babaganouj better than any others I've tasted. It has a yummy smokey flavor.

  1. At Prime Grill - the Black Angus special on Thursdays
    At Abigaels - Bison Ribeye
At Kosher Deluxe - I have always enjoyed their Orange Beef

    1. My favorite place is Madras Mahal, on Lexington. I'd have to say my favorite things are their appetizers, so many of which are fabulous. I have a real weakness for bondi, which are these potato things. There's also this lentil thing in a yogurt sauce, don't know how to describe it but it's delicious.

      1. The chicken in garlic sauce from Family Kosher Chinese Restaurant on 18th Avenue (across from Dougie's) in Brooklyn.
