I actually prefer Sake on Congress Street to Sakura for sushi.
There's a surprisingly good Indian place next to the parking garage on Hanover Street called Shalimar.
I'm continuously underwhelmed with the local Thai and Chinese places.
Portsmouth ain't eggsactly a center for good Asian food.

pesce blue is superb for mediterranean. very handsome room as well as outdoor tables. beautiful presentation and flavors and execution.
lindbergh's crossing is delicious though richer food ; old tavern like atmosphere.
don't forget to drive out around newcastle- so lovely- and visit nearby
Newburyport- beautiful historic town on the river w/ lovely river boardwalk(Glenn's Galley is very good there).also enter portsmouth into the search box and you'll get lots more.
