What do you think is the best kosher Italian establishment in New York City?
Both dairy and meat.
Any Burough.
Orthodox supervision only, please.
Thanks.

Although we haven't been back in a long time, I've always reallty enjoyed Tevere 84, an Italian meat restaurant. Their food is said to be Roman Jewish cuisine.
If anyone has a current review, I'd love to see it.
    Thanks!

My favorite is Bertolini's in Brooklyn on Coney Island Ave. It is a milchig Italian restaurant.

Went back recently to Va Bene (dairy) and had a meal with non-kosher business associates. They could not get over the food (especially the creme brulee). They said that everything was comparable with non-kosher. The service was also very good which had not been the case for me in the past.

Va Bene is my favorite Italian, as well. Had a really good meal years ago at Tevere 84, but I personally prefer dairy to meat.

Tevere is my favorite-- kosher or nonkosher or anything else.
The food is really delicious rustic roman cuisine. I always start with the fried artichokes with are heavenly and then the chicken tever whihc is a very thin chicken cutlet with salad on top. Everything at Tevere is amazing. Even the desserts which are usually not great in meat restaurants are good.

I am a big fan of Tevere, the carpacio is really good, and I have never had a bad meal there. Nice decor, the waiters are attentive, and knowlegable. The deserts do not taste parve, which is abig deal when dealing with the creams in Italian deserts.
