Just got a copy of Chinese Gastronomy... any recommendations?

I was just on my way outside to enjoy the nice weather and decided to take a peek at the free book table. There was a book called Chinese Gastronomy by Hsiang Ju Lin and Tsuifeng Lin. Since I'm a bit of a cookbook/old book junkie and this was both, I grabbed it. Can't beat free, right? Even if it was a lame book... But then I just did a search on here and on amazon and it sounds like I lucked out.

So I am wondering... anything in particular that I should check out in this book? I'll read through the whole thing, but I have limited cooking time, so any advice on a good starting point would be great.

August is turning into new cookbook month for me. My access to discounted books ends in September, so I'm planning on picking up How to Cook Everything, Zuni Cafe Cookbook, and Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone next week. Sadly, I'll have almost no time for cooking until the end of December!

If it's the book that I think it is - my ex has mine, or should I say hers - try the duck in red sauce. It is boiled in red sauce, then broiled or grilled in another sauce that is memorable.
