Birthday dinner near La Costa in Carlsbad?

I'll be celebrating my birthday in Carlsbad this year, where(sad to say) I've never eaten!

We'll be at La Costa and was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a great dinner on a Monday night. I'd like to keep the total to $150 or less for 2 people.

Any thoughts?

We had part of our wedding at the Four Season Aviara and the food was extremely good. You might consider to go to Vivace at the Four Season Aviara (which we haven't tried yet but heard very good things). The chef worked at Babbo before.
