Graduation Dinner?

My little sister is graduating from college this spring, and since I'm the only one who knows about websites like this one, I've been put in charge of finding a restaurant for dinner that night. :) we'll have quite a crowd, maybe around 7-10 people if everyone comes. I'm looking for somewhere special, hopefully with a nice view of Boston or the water. I've heard Meritage was good; any other ideas? Thanks!!

The space at Meritage is nice, but I honestly was NOT impressed by the food. I would put it in the Top of the Hub category...really good room, but you're there for the atmosphere/view, not the food. BTW, between the two I'd choose the Top of the Hub. More variety for a big party, and I honestly have better meals there than Meritage. Great scallops appetizer.

I would go to Ruth's Chris, but that's just me. :-) No views, but an incredibly awesome space and location in the old city hall, and the best steak in the city easily.

BTW, I realized I am gonna get absolutely flamed for this post.

Allow me to clarify...the view at Top of the Hub is breathtaking, better than Meritage. The food is hit and miss at both places, and I've actually had better meals at TOTH than Meritage. I actually had a really good lamb last time. Both are probably overpriced foodwise.
