It's kind of a chain but I'm asking about Metro Center...

For breakfast on the way to work?

Here's the thing. I often go to Ebbitt express and get their breakfast sandwich... but I've been trying to eat less eggs now and so that's made their selections un-interesting.

I know that Lawson's is quite good - but I walked past Au Bon Pain today and saw they are doing a cucumber and lox sandwich on bagel with dill cream cheese.

Now, if this were So's Your Mom up on Columbia Rd., I'd know it would be great. But I gotta ask - has anyone tried this nice bagel w/shmear and nova at ABP?

Is it any good?

Is there anywhere else to get that kind of breakfast around metro center? Gotta be a quick walk-by, not a sit-down like the Waffle Shop, or Reeve's...

Yup, Potbelly is indeed open for breakfast, but they are all egg sandwiches except for the PB&J.

Port of Piraeus! That's excellent advice. I used to go to the one in Dupont but I've never been to the metro center one - I'll have to try that and report back!

Waffle Shop does a great deal of carryout business, pretty much the entire menu. And they're pretty snappy.

I had a breakfast sandwich at Potbelly near Dupont that was pretty good. Is the one near Metro Center open for breakfast?

I've heard some very good things about Port of Piraeus's sandwiches, and they do breakfast.
