Went to Spuntini (http://www.spuntini.ca/) in Yorkville for a nice dinner of 6 @ 9PM on a Tuesday night. Despite the fact that we posed questions like "what's a decent bottle of wine under $40?" we had a very pleasant experience with an efficient yet personable waiter that we had fun chatting with.

Everything came up very efficiently and in excellent progress between starters and mains. For starters most of our table just had green salads that was nicely done. Mains included most lobster tail, penne alla vodka, mushroom risotto, lamb chops, and I had the seafood risotto.

The seafood risotto had an excellent serving of seafood, with large chunks of crab still in shell, a big fat scallop, clams, mussels, pieces of squid, and large shrimp over a light tomato broth covering the mound of rice. The risotto and 'broth' were excellent - the texture of the rice soft and creamy but with the grain intact and just a nice complementary broth. The seafood however seemed somehwat of an afterthought - the scallop and shrimp were bland and carried just a hint of that raw seafood taste that I didn't enjoy while the rest of it didn't seem to carry as much flavor as the rice did. Still it was actually reasonably priced (22.95) and I still enjoyed it.

While the experience was nice I probably wouldn't go back as I enjoy more modern settings and more 'nouveau cuisine' whereas this is very classically Italian. Still I would recommend it if you're looking for a nice traditional Italian place. If you go in the summer do request a table on the wonderful little patio that's actually extends above the entrance on the second floor.

**Word of caution the website's menu pricing is a little lower than actual cost. The dish I had read as 19.99 on the website and actually cost 22.95 on the bill.
