Best outdoor or window-seat dining in the North End?

Coast Aug 23, 2006 08:12 PM

Heading there with 2 couples Thurs. night, nice weather, looking for a place where we can sit out or at least enjoy the night weather.

Besides roofdecks and patios, there are a few North End restaurants that have those huge floor-to-ceiling windows that can be completely opened, creating a sort of indoor patio. Lucca, for instance. I believe Bricco also does this, as does the new (and fantastic) La Galleria 33.

There's one great outdoor table for two on the second floor of Tresca.

Fiore's has a great roof deck... as long as you don't mind cigarette smoke.

Il Panino on Parmenter Street has a very nice courtyard area. And Fiore's on Hanover Street has a roofdeck--I believe it's the only restaurant roofdeck in the North End.

Second Il Panino. I was pleasantly surprised at how relaxed and quiet a space they made their outdoor seating area.
