Any recommendations? Relatives are visiting. Good, interesting appetites, all of them.

Thanks

Thank you everyone. My family and I had a wonderful lunch at India Paradise. Byriani was exceptional as was the poori. Will try the other suggestions too.

We were considering Pava.....anoyone been there?

I like Appetito in Newton Center

I'd opt for Oishii; Bernard's is pretty average, in my opinion. Or if you can, I agree with Ali G about going up to Newton Centre as there are many more options up there. Or even Brookline Village, which is about the same distance as Newton Centre, and has some great places, including Sichuan Garden and Family Restaurant.

          Possibly Aquitaine Bis?

That's where I'd go. Get those mussels.

Good luck with seating, but the original Oishii is right there...

Bernard's in the mall get's good reviews for chinese. I think the food is pretty good, but nothing extraordinary and it's a bit expensive for chinese. There is also a Legal's if your relatives are from out of town and are looking for seafood.

I'd probably head up the road into Newton Centre where there are more options. Union St has decent pub food, around the corner is a pretty good indian buffet, but I haven't been in a few years. There is also Sol Azteca for outdoor Mexican or Jumbo Seafood for chinese (I've only had dim sum, but it's always good and fresh). There is Sweet Tomatoes for thin crust gourmet pizza and JP Licks or Cold Stone Creamery for dessert. Nothing jumps out at me in this area as "must go", but there are a lot of "good" options.
