Best Chocolate Cake

Where is the best chocolate cake in Northern Virginia or DC? A friend is having her birthday on Friday and I'd like some recommendations.

    Chocolate mousse cake from the Alexandria Pastry Shop gets my vote - its on King Street east of the king street exit from 395

      Pastries by Randolph in Arlington has excellent cakes...never specifically had a chocolate cake but I'm sure they have a great one. May be a little pricey though.

          I've just had some chocolate cake and chocolate cheesecake from the Amphora Bakery in Vienna and it was excellent. It's located in a small strip mall neat the Amphora restaurant in Vienna.
