Rock Hill to Charlotte

I will be driving from Rock Hill, South Carolina, to the Charlotte airport around lunchtime--is there any place especially nice I should stop where the food will be memorable? Short detours okay...dare one hope for barbecue? Anything else that's good? And I would also be grateful for a dinner recommendation in Charlotte, especially a place that might be open on the late side....thanks so much!

Ilios Noche is an absolutely wonderful Greek/Mediterranean spot about 10 minutes or so East on 485 (towards Matthews). Exit at Providence Road and head south a minute or two to the first shopping center on your right. Great salads, Greek meze (small plates). Also pasta, sandwiches, homemade desserts. This place is a real find and unique to this area.

On a very different wavelength is the little family-run Delicias Colombian Bakery at 212 N. Polk in Pineville. Less than 5 mins from I-77. Typical hearty stuff, including really good soups (not always available). Very friendly.
