Luscious Food - why, why, why?

Why do people go here? I tried it for the third timd and it's just really bad. I ordered a $9.50 BBQ Pork Quesadilla for lunch. And when it come out, it really was just two flour tortillas, some bland cheese and boiled pork, shredded and tossed through super-sweet sauce.

For $10, you could eat nicely at Melt (though you'll have to pay a tip).

I fully agree with your comment (or lack therefo) about Melt...

    2. They have really good chocolate chip cookies.
Other than that, I don't really know.

      1. What the hell are you people ordering there? I for one, eat here once or twice a month on average and have a good experience pretty much everytime. Both the meatloaf and the lasagnas (both spinach and meat) are excellent. And the portions are HUGE. I've yet to finish off an order in one meal; i always take leftovers for lunch.

        1. I too, was very disappointed with Luscious Foods. It's a very ordinary takeout place with very few choices. (I also didn't like Melt either). The few times I eaten takeout recently, I've gone to the Jamaican/Moroccan place on the corner of 4th & Dean. Much cheaper and a lot more interesting choices than LF.

          1. it is pretty disappointing. i really wanted to like it and, to that end, have gone there several times. their quiche is bland, soups are way too salty and otherwise flavorless, and the salads are just sad. i love the idea of the place, but the execution is a flop.

somebody who names their place "Luscious" is setting a high bar for themselves.
