I like it very much. My favorite Italian in Stamford.

ML is a pretty good restaurant and one of the best in stm. When you enter you will think you have been transported back in time as it reminds you of an Italian restaurant from the 60's or 70's. Waiters are very friendly, nice selection of meats and fish, pastas are pretty good. Very good location for the Rich Theatre as well.

Does Luciano still own the restaurant? If so, he is the brother of Tony May(San Dominico in manhattan). Luciano used to run La Camilla in Manhattan.

I had a very disappointing meal at Mona Lisa a year or so ago. It was during their truffle festival and I was really looking forward to some real Italian truffles, which they did have. However, I ordered a $55 dish of pasta and if there was a fingernail's amount of truffle in it, you couldn't tell. I brought it to the attention of the head waiter, and was brushed off. I even wrote a letter to the owner to make him aware of it, but got no response. Consequently, I would never go back.

Truffle season in Italy varies year to year depending on weather conditions. Prices have risen tremendously. However, Mona Lisa is very liberal with their Truffle portions and the cheapest around. 3 other restuarants in Stamford charge over $85 a plate with barely any food. $55 is quite reasonable.

Mona Lisa is a classic Italian restaurant with great food in a central location. If you are looking for over-flowing bowls of pasta, it probably isn't the place for you as they tend to focus on quality over quantity. The service is very professional, but be sure to ask for your check if you are in a hurry as the waitstaff encourages a lengthy dining experience. I would say Mona Lisa is firmly in Stamford's top ten.

Mona Lisa is one the very few places I actually like in Stamford. I never had a bad meal here. I tend go there on business lunches, and, yes it is rather pricey for Stamford. It is central for business if you work downtown as it is walkable, but the parking situation isn't great for evenings.

Free parking is validated by Mona Lisa at the Landmark Parking Garage located on Atlantic Street in Stamford.

My First experience with Mona Lisa was as a payback for some work I had done as a favor and I felt very well compensated. I have eaten there for lunch and dinner and enjoyed the presentations each time. I will always accept an invitation to meet there.

Mona Lisa is one of my favorites. Luciano and his family do a great job, and we've never had a bad meal there. One of my favorite dishes is the open faced seafood ravioli-- YUM!! They have some nice wines on the menu as well.
