need romatic restaurant help-fast!
My girlfriend's birthday is coming up soon. She tolerates (and enjoys) being dragged all over the SGV for new Chinese, all over Westminster for Pho and banh mi, but would like a nice romantic place for her birthday, in LA, preferably one with really good lobster. Any suggestions? If its not an out of the way ethnic dive, i haven't a clue.

Providence offers a delicious lobster but the preparation is an innovative one rather than the traditional broiled or steamed beast. Cafe Del Rey in Marina Del Rey offers a variant called "lobster four ways"; Chinois (perhaps too crowded and noisy to be truly romantic) has the wonderful Shanghai Lobster; The Lobster in Santa Monica might also be too noisy and crowded to qualify as romantic but the view is lovely (the lobsters, despite the name, less so); I love the huge lobsters at the Palm but it is not a place I would consider romantic
