Mongolian fare

My sister in law is going to make 'BUUZ', a ground beef and potato mix that is either steamed or fried, always prepared during special occations. When my brother went over there to get married, all of his wife's friends made it for them every day to celebrate their wedding. After the 9th day of having Buuz he finally said enough. She is also going to make a shredded cabage and carrot dish that maybe cooked, or not.... Any ideas? I would certainly appreciate it
