Wrecking Ball headed towards Menlo Park Foster's Freeze!

Per the local news.

While I realize it's a "fast food chain", they (F.F.) sort of INVENTED the "fast food chain" (they almost say as much on their website) and the Menlo Park location is a rare remnant of "ungentrified" Bay Area in the same location, and largely unremodeled building, since 1961, if not before (I ate there last month, for my first time since about 1967...)

Can it be saved? The "dining experience" won't be the same if they tear it down, put up a condo, and replace it with a shiny new plastic one!

The one in West Berkeley at Chestnut? and University is still open and has been there as long as I can remember. The soft serve vanilla is still as good as ever!

So many have fallen by the way side -- Mountain View's died a lingering death a few years ago. Sadly, I don't think there's enough business at some these establishments to keep them alive. :-(

Milpitas is still going strong if you've got the hankering for Fosters Freeze.
