Casual Eats in/near Downtown West Chester

spyturtle008 Aug 22, 2006 01:41 AM

Looking for dining rec's for a Friday night dinner in or around downtown West Chester, or near the intersection of Rt.1 & 202. Looking for something casual with at least a few veg-friendly options on the menu. Please save me from P.F. Chang's, which is the usual fallback when meeting up with folks thataways. Thanks in advance!

Coyote Crossing in West Chester has a beautiful new rooftop deck. I was there last Friday night. The food was great and there was a nice looking crowd.

I love the new rooftop deck! It's like you're not even in West Chester when your up there (nothing against WC, but when you've lived here as long as I have, sometimes it's nice to get away - even if it's only to the roof!). The frozen mango margaritas were delicious, and I don't even like tequila.

But to answer the first question, in the same shopping center as PF Chang's is American Bar & Grill. I have not been to that location, but the one in Lionville was really good. Not sure what wait times are like - I know PF C's can be very long at times.
