Vegetarian in Omaha, NE?

DH will be on a business trip to Omaha, NE next week. Although he is an omnivore 'hound, his traveling companion is a vegetarian from India. He eats dairy, but not eggs. Is Jaipur still good? Any other places to recommend? The place doesn't have to be vegetarian only---just offer something other than salads for those who don't eat meat. Tasty food much more important than decor/ambiance/service/bar. Thanks!

McFoster's is the standard reply but the food's pretty spotty in my opinion. That's really the only "official" vegetarian restaurant.

I'd recommend Blue Sushi out west, Jaipur, O at 80th and Dodge, Sushi Ichiban (which has a new name but is still at 80th and Dodge) or Nicola's in the Old Market (Italian).

Omaha is the only place in the Midwest where I found real cavatelli - cavatelli that was thick almost like a dumpling as opposed to cavatelli that is thin like pasta.

I do not remember the name of the restaurant, but it was in the suburbs directly west of downtown Omaha. I am a vegetarian, and cavatelli is a satisfying meal...

I'm guessing you're thinking of Pasta Amore, which is in Rockbrook.
