Lunch tomorrow in Canoga Park (or close)
After all these recs, ChowFriend brought in lunch because it was soooooooooo hot (119 at one point the car thermometer registered) so we stayed at her home in the cool and ate food from Stoneyard grill - very tasty tortilla soup, chicken wrap and a well balanced chicken salad with a lot of stuff in it like pepper strips, eggplant bits and a tart dressing. Good food for a blistering day.
Weiler's Deli - Victory, west of Desoto
Taco Loco - Owensmouth, South of Sherman Way
Cavaretta's - Sherman Way, west of Topanga (Meatball Sub YUM)
Brother's Sushi - Ventura Blvd, West of Canoga
Pastries by Edie - Sherman Way, west of Remmet (Best Pannini's)
Follow Your Heart - Sherman Way, east of Topanga (Great Salads, homemade soups, vegetarian everything). The BEST red zinger iced tea in LA.
Woodlands Indian Cuisine (Topanga/Lassen)
Madras Masala (Reseda/Nordhoff) - good Indian buffet
A&W Seafood (Reseda/Prarie) - good dim sum, also Mandarin Deli across the street
At Reseda/Sherman Way you have Pho So 1 and Top Thai, both very good
Alexis Greek Cafe (Tampa/Nordhoff)
Lots of Mexican places - Carillo's (Corbin/Sherman Way), Sabroso's (Corbin/Vanowen), Las Fuentes (Reseda/Vanowen)
Buenos Aires Grille (Corbin/Nordhoff) - Argentinian
Went by Top Thai for dinner last night, they are closed for the week for vacation. Too bad, this place is REALLY good. Next time you are in the area you should check it out. Here is an article from LAT
Also forgot to mention Brent's Deli, just a stone's throw from Canoga Park on Parthenia between Corbin & Tampa.
