Nice Peking duck restaurant in So Cal?

Need to find a nice restaurant that serves Peking Duck for an engagement dinner. Anyone know of a good place?

Lu Din Gee is as close as you'll get.

Given the Dept. of Health codes/restrictions "real" Peking Duck is near impossible to make in the States.

Well, Quanjude made it for about 6 years. And they settled for a C rating. BUT Dept of health codes vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction - there's no uniform code so far as I know.

and quanjude's ducks were great - open-hearth roasted.

Just make sure you call to order the duck an hour ahead of time.
