    My God, you put those pictures right out there where CHILDREN could find them? How COULD you? Full frontal tomatoes, won't someone PLEASE think of the children!

    (I have a great tomato on the counter waiting for lunch so it can become what all great tomatoes wish they could be, one of the stars in a caprese sandwich.)

        When I saw this thread, I though, Oh lord, isn't it a bit much to include all these photos of tomatoes? Of course, I did have to look at them all . . .

          How did you eat it? I'm thinking I would have to have at least one slice with good sea salt only.

          Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

            Yes, this is a salt-craving tomato--no accoutrements. It is one of the best tomatoes you will ever eat. Sure wish I could invite all of you over for a taste!

            (If I'm not boring y'all with my fascination with tomatoes, I'll post another "wild" varietal...)

              not even some mozzarella?

              or a homemade burger? or a bacon, cucumber and tomato sandwich?

                  I grow about 20 varieties;

                  "Just twinkles in my eye":
                  "1st (Harvest) day of Kindergarten":

                  They grow up so fast...

                    I have a seed catalog for a company that sells heirloom old fashioned vegetables and fruits. The tomatoes pictured are old varities that's aren't common any more.
                    Wish they sold some of them in the grocery stores around here.
